Position Overview

The Apartment Maintenance Technician will assist with day-to-day property maintenance, with a strong focus on unit turns and completing service work orders. This role plays a vital part in preparing apartment homes for new residents while ensuring current residents receive prompt and professional maintenance support.

We are looking for a motivated individual who is detail-oriented, efficient, and capable of handling multiple maintenance tasks with care and precision.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with unit turns, including repairs, touch-ups, and preparing apartments for move-in readiness
• Complete maintenance work orders in a timely and professional manner
• Troubleshoot and repair issues related to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliances
• Perform general maintenance tasks such as painting, drywall repair, carpentry, and light installations
• Ensure vacant units meet quality standards and are ready for occupancy
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of common areas, hallways, and mechanical spaces
• Follow all company policies and safety procedures
• Communicate effectively with team members and property management

Qualifications

• Previous experience in apartment or residential maintenance preferred
• Working knowledge of general maintenance disciplines (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry)
• Ability to complete unit turns efficiently and with attention to detail
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently
• Professional attitude with solid customer service skills
• Must have access to basic maintenance tools
• EPA certification is a plus, but not required
