Position Overview

The Apartment Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the overall condition and functionality of the property. This role requires a proactive individual who can efficiently complete service requests, assist with unit turns, and ensure that all areas of the community meet high standards of cleanliness and safety.

We are looking for candidates who are experienced, reliable, and committed to excellence in property maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete maintenance service requests in a timely, professional manner
• Prepare vacant units for move-in, including inspections, repairs, and cleaning coordination
• Troubleshoot and repair systems such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliances
• Perform general maintenance tasks including carpentry, painting, drywall repair, and minor renovations
• Maintain the appearance and safety of common areas, grounds, and mechanical spaces
• Follow all safety procedures, policies, and industry best practices
• Communicate effectively with residents, team members, and property management
• Assist with preventative maintenance programs to ensure long-term property upkeep

Qualifications

• Previous apartment or multifamily maintenance experience strongly preferred
• Solid working knowledge of general maintenance trades (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry)
• Ability to diagnose problems and complete repairs efficiently
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and manage daily responsibilities
• Must have access to basic maintenance tools
• EPA certification is a plus, but not required
