Position Overview

The Certified Apartment Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the overall condition, functionality, and appearance of the community. This role requires hands-on experience in property maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair, along with the ability to efficiently complete service requests and apartment turnovers.

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, excellent customer service abilities, and the flexibility to address a variety of maintenance challenges in a fast-paced residential environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete resident service requests in a timely and professional manner
• Diagnose and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance, and mechanical systems
• Perform preventive and routine maintenance throughout the property
• Assist with apartment make-readies and unit turnovers
• Repair drywall, cabinetry, doors, locks, and other interior components
• Perform painting, carpentry, and general maintenance duties as needed
• Maintain common areas, grounds, and building exteriors
• Conduct inspections to identify and address maintenance concerns
• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety standards and company policies
• Deliver outstanding customer service while interacting with residents and team members
• Assist with emergency maintenance situations when required

Qualifications

• Certification relevant to apartment maintenance or HVAC preferred
• Previous apartment maintenance or multifamily maintenance experience required
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, appliances, and general repairs
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues independently
• Experience completing apartment turns and make-readies
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
