BG Staffing is seeking a dependable and hardworking Apartment Groundskeeper to join our team at a residential apartment community in Aurora, IL 60504. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys being active, and understands the importance of maintaining a community that residents are proud to call home.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for preserving the cleanliness, curb appeal, and overall appearance of the property. We are looking for an individual who is willing to work both indoors and outdoors and assist with a variety of groundskeeping and light maintenance duties that contribute to the success of the community.
Essential Responsibilities
- Maintain the cleanliness and overall appearance of the apartment community
- Pick up trash and debris throughout the property on a daily basis
- Clean and maintain common areas, breezeways, sidewalks, and parking lots
- Use blowers to keep breezeways, walkways, and parking areas clean and presentable
- Assist with exterior and interior touch-up building maintenance
- Perform light painting and touch-up work as needed
- Operate pressure washing equipment to maintain building exteriors and common areas
- Change bulbs in both interior and exterior light fixtures
- Monitor the property and report safety hazards, damage, or maintenance concerns
- Assist in maintaining amenities and community spaces
- Support maintenance staff with general property upkeep projects
- Help ensure the community maintains a professional and welcoming appearance for residents and visitors
Qualifications
- Previous groundskeeping, janitorial, apartment maintenance, landscaping, or related experience preferred
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Comfortable performing cleaning, trash removal, and light maintenance tasks
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
- Positive attitude and ability to work independently as well as part of a team
