BG Staffing is currently seeking a dependable, skilled, and motivated Apartment Maintenance Technician to support a well-maintained residential community in Aurora, Illinois. Position Overview

As an Apartment Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining the overall condition, safety, and functionality of the property. You will be responsible for completing maintenance requests, performing preventive maintenance, preparing vacant units for new residents, and helping ensure that the community remains clean, attractive, and operational.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete resident work orders in a timely and professional manner
• Perform general maintenance and repairs in occupied and vacant apartments
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance issues
• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections throughout the property
• Complete apartment turns and unit make-ready projects
• Repair drywall, doors, locks, fixtures, and cabinetry
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and building exteriors as needed
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety standards and company policies
• Communicate effectively with residents, management, and team members

Qualifications

• Prior apartment maintenance, facilities maintenance, or related experience preferred
• Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance repair
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance required
