Assistant Maintenance Technician (Non‑Certified) – Property Management

Location: Fort Worth, TX 76107

Schedule: Monday through friday

Compensation: $21-$22 per hour

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Non‑Certified Assistant Maintenance Technician to join our property management team. This role supports the Lead Maintenance Technician with daily repairs, unit turns, and community upkeep. It’s an excellent opportunity for someone who is skilled with tools, eager to learn, and ready to grow in the maintenance field.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with general maintenance tasks including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance repairs
• Complete work orders efficiently and professionally
• Support make‑ready tasks such as painting, patching, cleaning, and minor repairs
• Perform routine property inspections and report issues promptly
• Help maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance shop and storage areas
• Assist with groundskeeping and common‑area upkeep as needed
• Provide friendly, professional customer service to residents and staff
• Participate in on‑call rotation with guidance from certified technicians

Qualifications

• 6+ months of maintenance, handyman, or make‑ready experience preferred
• Basic knowledge of tools, repairs, and safety practices
• Strong willingness to learn and grow into more advanced maintenance responsibilities
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
• Strong communication skills and a positive, team‑oriented attitude
