BG Staffing is currently seeking a reliable and motivated Maintenance Technician / Groundskeeper to support a well-maintained apartment community in Lombard, IL. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a mix of maintenance work and outdoor upkeep in a steady, part-time role.

Schedule

🗓 Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays

⏰ 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Enjoy a midweek break every Wednesday while still working a consistent weekly schedule.

About the Role

In this dual-role position, you will help maintain both the functionality of the property and its overall curb appeal. You’ll play a key role in ensuring residents experience a clean, safe, and well-kept community every day.

This role is perfect for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working both indoors and outdoors.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance Duties:

• Complete basic service requests and repairs (plumbing, electrical, minor carpentry, appliances)
• Assist with unit turns and make-readies
• Troubleshoot and resolve general maintenance issues
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks

Groundskeeping Duties:

• Maintain cleanliness of common areas, walkways, and parking lots
• Pick up trash and debris throughout the property
• Assist with dumpster and waste management areas
• Sweep, blow, and maintain exterior spaces
• Ensure the community maintains strong curb appeal

What We’re Looking For

• Previous maintenance, groundskeeping, or janitorial experience preferred
• Basic knowledge of general repairs and property upkeep
• Ability to work independently and stay on task
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work throughout the day
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented mindset
• Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
