Apartment Maintenance Technician / Assistant Maintenance (Non‑Certified) – Contract to Hire

This is a unique opportunity for a dependable maintenance professional to support multiple communities while building long‑term career potential. You will cover three properties one week per month, with on‑call responsibilities, in a role that blends hands‑on maintenance with growth opportunity.

Location: Cupertino, CA 95014

Pay Rate: $25–$26/hour (DOE)

Schedule:

• Coverage: 1 full week per month across 3 properties
• On‑Call: One full week after 5:00 PM and weekends
• Position Type: Contract to Hire
• Start: April

Job Description

• Complete work orders efficiently and professionally
• Assist with make‑ready apartments including painting, cleaning, and minor repairs
• Perform basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general maintenance tasks
• Support maintenance needs across multiple properties as assigned
• Respond to on‑call maintenance emergencies after hours and on weekends
• Maintain common areas and grounds to community standards

Qualifications

• Apartment or multifamily maintenance experience required
• Non‑certified maintenance experience acceptable
• Must provide own tools
• Working knowledge of general maintenance and repair tasks
• Ability to work independently across multiple properties
• Reliable attendance and strong communication skills
