BG Staffing is currently seeking a dependable and skilled Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our growing team. Position Summary

As an Apartment Maintenance Technician, you will play a key role in the day-to-day upkeep of a residential community. You will be responsible for completing service requests, performing preventative maintenance, supporting unit turns, and ensuring that all common areas and systems operate efficiently and safely.

This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance & Repairs

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance work.
• Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues promptly and effectively.
• Complete resident service requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Prepare vacant units (turns) for new residents, including repairs, cleaning coordination, and inspections.

Preventative Maintenance

• Execute preventative maintenance schedules to extend the life of building systems and equipment.
• Inspect property systems, identify potential issues, and take corrective action before problems arise.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory to ensure readiness and efficiency.

Property Upkeep

• Maintain cleanliness and safety of common areas, grounds, and amenities.
• Conduct regular property walks to identify necessary repairs or hazards.
• Ensure all building systems, including lighting and mechanical equipment, are functioning properly.

Resident & Team Support

• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with residents and team members.
• Communicate maintenance needs and updates effectively with property management.
• Assist with special projects and community initiatives as requested.

Qualifications

• Previous apartment maintenance or related experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of general maintenance trades (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry).
• HVAC certification is a plus (EPA or equivalent preferred).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage time efficiently and handle multiple tasks.
• Professional, reliable, and service-oriented mindset.
• Ability to lift, carry, and perform physical tasks as required.
