Position Overview
As a Certified Apartment Maintenance Technician, you will play a key role in the ongoing maintenance, repair, and overall upkeep of the property. This position requires a well-rounded technician with hands-on experience and certifications in HVAC and pool operations, ensuring all aspects of the community are safe, efficient, and operating at peak performance.
We are looking for a qualified candidate who is dependable, detail-oriented, and experienced in handling both routine maintenance and more advanced technical tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete maintenance service requests in a timely and professional manner
- Perform preventative maintenance and inspections across all building systems
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, appliances, and fixtures
- Maintain and service pool systems in compliance with safety regulations (CPO required)
- Prepare vacant units for new residents, ensuring move-in readiness
- Perform general maintenance tasks including carpentry, painting, drywall repair, and minor renovations
- Ensure common areas, mechanical rooms, and grounds are clean, safe, and well-maintained
- Adhere to all safety standards and company policies
- Communicate effectively with residents, property management, and team members
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in apartment or multifamily maintenance required
- HVAC Certification required
- CPO (Certified Pool Operator) certification required
- Strong working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general maintenance trades
- Must have own tools to perform daily maintenance tasks
- Ability to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues efficiently
- Dependable, self-motivated, and capable of working independently
- Strong customer service and communication skills
