LIHTC Leasing Consultant – Contract

Bring your affordable housing expertise and leasing skills to a dynamic multifamily community where compliance and customer service matter. This contract role is ideal for an experienced LIHTC Leasing Consultant who can confidently manage leasing activity while maintaining program requirements.

Location: Portland, OR 97209

Pay Rate: $23/hour

Schedule:

• Week 1: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Week 2: Tuesday–Saturday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Position Type: Contract

Job Description

• Lease LIHTC apartment homes while maintaining compliance standards
• Conduct tours, follow up with prospects, and close leases to support occupancy
• Process applications, income certifications, and resident documentation
• Maintain accurate records in property management software
• Provide professional customer service to prospects and residents
• Ensure compliance with Fair Housing and LIHTC regulations

Qualifications

• Prior apartment or multifamily leasing experience required
• LIHTC leasing experience required
• Knowledge of Fair Housing and affordable housing compliance
• Sales and closing skills to drive occupancy
• Experience with property management software such as Yardi or OneSite
• Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills
• Reliable attendance and professional presentation
