Assistant Property Manager

Location: Lawrence, KS 66047

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM

Assignment Type: Contract

Pay: $21–$22/hr

Take on a key leadership role within a multifamily community by supporting daily operations, resident relations, leasing functions, and financial processes. You’ll help drive occupancy, maintain compliance, and support smooth property performance.

Job Description

• To manage rent collection, delinquency tracking, and posting payments
• To assist with lease renewals, notices, and documentation
• To support evictions by preparing files and coordinating with management
• To resolve resident concerns professionally and maintain Fair Housing compliance
• To tour, engage prospects, and close leases to support occupancy
• To maintain market knowledge and assist with office operations

Required Qualifications

• Apartment industry/multifamily experience
• Experience with property management software such as Yardi or Onesite
• Knowledge of Fair Housing laws
• Experience with delinquency management, payment posting, and notices
• Ability to assist with evictions and conflict resolution
• Strong customer service, communication, and sales/closing skills
• Reliability, professionalism, and ability to work independently
