Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Residential Property Bookkeeper to join our on-site property team in Beverly MA. Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date bookkeeping records for multiple residential properties using various accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms.
  • Reconcile bank statements and perform general ledger account reconciliations to ensure consistency across all financial data.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently, including issuing invoices, tracking payments, and managing vendor relations.
  • Prepare detailed journal entries for various financial activities, ensuring adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis to verify the accuracy of financial statements.
  • Assist with payroll processing, tax filings, and governmental accounting requirements as needed.
  • Generate comprehensive financial reports, including budgets, cash flow statements, and other relevant documentation to support management decision-making.

Skills

  • Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms; familiarity with Quicken is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles, non-profit accounting practices (if applicable), and governmental accounting standards.
  • Knowledge of double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, journal entries, and general ledger accounting processes.
  • Ability to perform account reconciliation tasks including bank reconciliation and account analysis with precision.
  • Familiarity with financial concepts such as budgeting, financial report writing, and account analysis.
  • Experience with accounts payable/receivable management and payroll processing.
  • Excellent attention to detail along with proficiency in 10-key typing for data entry accuracy.
  • Strong organizational skills combined with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
