Position Overview

As a Tax Credit Leasing Consultant, you will serve as the face of the community, assisting prospective residents throughout the leasing process while ensuring compliance with affordable housing and tax credit requirements. You will support daily office operations, maintain accurate resident records, and help drive occupancy through exceptional service and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and assist prospective residents in a professional and welcoming manner
• Conduct community and apartment tours
• Provide detailed leasing information and answer questions regarding the property
• Process rental applications and assist with applicant screening procedures
• Prepare lease agreements and other leasing documentation
• Maintain accurate resident files and records
• Answer incoming phone calls and respond to emails promptly and professionally
• Manage office communications and assist with front-office operations
• Support marketing initiatives and community outreach efforts
• Assist in maintaining occupancy goals and resident satisfaction
• Ensure compliance with applicable tax credit and affordable housing regulations

Required Qualifications

• Previous apartment leasing experience required
• Tax Credit and/or Affordable Housing experience required
• Strong customer service and sales skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
• Experience using property management software and basic computer applications
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and work independently
• Professional appearance and demeanor

• Knowledge of affordable housing compliance standards
• Ability to build rapport with prospective and current residents
