Position Overview

As a Tax Credit Leasing Specialist, you will be responsible for guiding prospective residents through the leasing process while ensuring full compliance with LIHTC regulations and property guidelines. The ideal candidate will have previous experience managing income certifications, recertifications, file compliance, and resident relations within an affordable housing community.

Your ability to provide exceptional customer service while maintaining accuracy and compliance will be key to your success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct apartment tours and effectively market available homes
• Process rental applications and assist applicants throughout the approval process
• Complete income certifications and recertifications in accordance with LIHTC guidelines
• Verify applicant eligibility and maintain compliant resident files
• Prepare lease agreements and move-in documentation
• Maintain accurate leasing records and resident information within Yardi software
• Respond to resident inquiries and provide outstanding customer service
• Follow up on leads and assist in achieving occupancy goals
• Ensure all leasing activities comply with federal, state, and property regulations
• Support community events, resident retention efforts, and marketing initiatives

Required Qualifications

✅ Previous Tax Credit (LIHTC) leasing experience required

✅ Strong knowledge of affordable housing compliance and income certification procedures

✅ Previous Yardi software experience required

✅ Proven leasing and resident relations experience

✅ Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

✅ Strong verbal and written communication skills

✅ Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

✅ Professional appearance and customer-service-focused attitude

✅ High level of accuracy when handling compliance documentation and resident files

Schedule: Monday through Friday

Hours: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour
