Apartment Maintenance Technician

BG Staffing | Rockford, IL 61114 Pay: $22.00 per Hour Schedule: Monday through Friday | 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

BG Staffing is currently seeking an experienced Apartment Maintenance Technician for a property in the Rockford, IL 61114 area. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled maintenance professional who can step into the role with confidence and begin contributing immediately.

Important: This position requires an individual who can hit the ground running. Training will not be provided, so candidates must have prior apartment maintenance experience and be comfortable working independently.

Responsibilities:

• Complete service requests in a timely and professional manner
• Perform general apartment maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting
• Handle work orders related to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance repair, carpentry, and painting
• Prepare vacant units for new residents, including make-ready and turn services
• Conduct preventative maintenance and property inspections
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Communicate effectively with residents, property management, and team members

Qualifications:

• Previous apartment maintenance experience required
• Strong knowledge of general maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, painting, and appliance repair
• Ability to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues with minimal supervision
• Experience completing apartment turns and make-readies
• Reliable transportation and ability to report to work consistently
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull maintenance equipment and materials as needed
