Overview

Client is seeking an experienced Senior Property Manager to oversee a portfolio of commercial properties in the DC Metro area. This position is a combination of office-based work in Vienna and regular on-site visits to assigned properties. The Senior Property Manager will be responsible for day-to-day property operations, owner and tenant relationships, financial reporting, budgeting, vendor management, and overall property performance.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of commercial property management experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • CPM or RPA designation, or progress toward designation, preferred
  • Experience with budgets, ownership reporting, and CAM reconciliations
  • Experience with Yardi, MRI, or similar property management software
  • Strong Microsoft Excel, Word, and Teams skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong judgment, accountability, and customer service skills
  • Ability to travel between assigned properties
  • Availability for occasional after-hours emergency response

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations for a portfolio of retail, office, and industrial properties
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for property owners, including monthly owner calls and reporting
  • Manage tenant and vendor relationships and address property-related concerns
  • Oversee rent collections and cash management in coordination with Accounting
  • Prepare monthly financial and operational reports, including variance explanations
  • Develop, manage, and reforecast annual operating and capital budgets
  • Manage CAM estimates and annual reconciliations
  • Administer leases and tenant documentation, including defaults, certificates of insurance, and gross sales reporting
  • Manage vendor contracts, bidding, insurance requirements, and vendor performance
  • Oversee minor construction projects, tenant build-outs, and capital projects
  • Conduct regular property inspections and identify operational, financial, and risk issues
  • Coordinate property tax reviews and appeals as applicable
  • Partner with Leasing, Accounting, and Construction teams
  • Respond to after-hours emergencies as needed
