BG Staffing is seeking a reliable and skilled Make Ready Technician to support a multifamily community in San Diego, CA 92101. Position Details

• Position: Make Ready Technician

• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare vacant apartment homes for new residents through repairs, cleaning coordination, and unit touch-ups.
• Complete make-ready projects efficiently to meet move-in deadlines.
• Perform basic electrical, plumbing, and carpentry repairs.
• Replace fixtures, hardware, blinds, and other apartment components as needed.
• Troubleshoot and repair appliances when necessary.
• Maintain safe work practices and proper use of tools and equipment.
• Communicate project status and unit readiness with onsite management and maintenance staff.
• Assist with property upkeep and other maintenance tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Make Ready Technician or Apartment Maintenance Technician required.
• Knowledge of general maintenance functions, including:
  • Basic electrical repairs
  • Basic plumbing repairs
  • Carpentry and hardware installation
  • Appliance troubleshooting and repair
• Must provide and maintain personal tools.
• Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
• Capable of performing physical labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
• Strong communication skills and a positive team-oriented attitude.
