This opportunity is well suited for an experienced Regional Vice President, Regional Director, Senior Regional Manager, or comparable multifamily leader who is ready to make a meaningful impact within a growing organization.

Key Responsibilities

Portfolio & Operational Leadership

  • Provide strategic and operational oversight across a large portfolio of multifamily communities.
  • Lead, coach, mentor, and develop Regional Managers and property leadership teams.
  • Establish clear performance expectations, operating priorities, and accountability throughout the portfolio.
  • Monitor property and portfolio performance and identify opportunities to strengthen operations, resident experience, and financial results.
  • Partner with regional and onsite leadership to develop actionable strategies for underperforming communities.
  • Maintain visibility within the portfolio through regular property visits, operational reviews, and interaction with field leadership.
  • Ensure consistent execution of company standards, policies, procedures, and operational best practices.

Financial Performance

  • Maintain oversight of portfolio financial performance, including revenue, operating expenses, NOI, occupancy, delinquency, and overall asset performance.
  • Lead and support annual budgeting, forecasting, financial review, and variance-management processes.
  • Review financial statements and operating results to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Partner with Regional Managers to develop corrective strategies when properties are not meeting established financial or operational objectives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, control expenses, maximize revenue, and enhance portfolio performance.
  • Monitor capital needs and recommend improvements necessary to maintain asset quality and competitive market positioning.

Leadership & Talent Development

  • Build and develop high-performing regional and property leadership teams.
  • Coach Regional Managers on leadership, performance management, financial accountability, and operational execution.
  • Establish a culture of accountability, collaboration, urgency, and continuous improvement.
  • Identify high-potential team members and support leadership development and succession planning.
  • Partner with Human Resources and Talent Acquisition on key hires, organizational needs, performance management, and retention strategies.
  • Ensure leadership teams have the resources, direction, and support necessary to achieve portfolio objectives.

Client, Owner & Stakeholder Relations

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ownership groups, and key business partners.
  • Serve as a senior operational resource regarding property performance, financial results, operational challenges, and strategic initiatives.
  • Communicate portfolio performance, opportunities, risks, and action plans effectively to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Partner with ownership and internal leadership to ensure business objectives are translated into clear operating priorities.
  • Maintain a high level of responsiveness, professionalism, and accountability in client and stakeholder relationships.

Portfolio Strategy & Growth

  • Partner with executive leadership on portfolio strategy and organizational initiatives.
  • Support property transitions, due diligence, acquisitions, dispositions, and new management assignments as applicable.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational processes, systems, reporting, and portfolio scalability.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Human Resources, Marketing, Maintenance/Construction, Asset Management, Risk Management, and other internal teams.
  • Support organizational growth while ensuring operational infrastructure and leadership capacity remain aligned with portfolio needs.

Qualifications

  • Significant progressive leadership experience within multifamily property management is required.
  • Previous experience as a Regional Vice President, Regional Director, Senior Regional Manager, Regional Manager, or comparable multi-site operations leader.
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing a significant portfolio of multifamily apartment communities.

  • Strong executive presence, communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and make sound business decisions in a fast-paced operating environment.
  • Ability and willingness to travel throughout the assigned portfolio as business needs require.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required; significant relevant multifamily leadership experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a strategic operator who leads through people.

This individual understands how to balance portfolio-level strategy with field execution and is comfortable moving between financial reviews, leadership development, client conversations, property performance, and operational problem-solving.

We are particularly interested in leaders who have demonstrated success:
