As a Make Ready Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring vacant apartment homes are turned efficiently and maintained to the highest standards before move-in. Position Details

• Location: Richmond, VA 23222
• Schedule: Monday-Friday
• Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
• Industry: Multifamily Property Management
• Employment Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare vacant apartment homes for new resident occupancy.
• Complete apartment turns within required timelines.
• Perform general maintenance and repairs, including:
  • Painting and touch-ups
  • Drywall repair
  • Basic plumbing repairs
  • Basic electrical work
  • Fixture installation and replacement
  • Appliance troubleshooting
• Conduct thorough inspections of vacant units.
• Ensure apartments meet company and community quality standards.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas.
• Communicate effectively with property management and maintenance teams.
• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Make Ready Technician, Apartment Maintenance Technician, or related maintenance role preferred.
• Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, and general repairs.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
• Reliable transportation and punctual attendance.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move maintenance equipment and supplies as needed.
• Strong customer service and professional communication skills.
