Position Overview

As an Apartment Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining the overall appearance, functionality, and safety of the community. You will be responsible for completing service requests, performing preventative maintenance, preparing vacant units for new residents, and ensuring the property is operating efficiently.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and capable of handling a variety of maintenance tasks in a fast-paced residential environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete resident service requests in a professional and timely manner
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on apartment homes and community areas
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance, and carpentry issues
• Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and repairs
• Turn and prepare vacant apartments for new move-ins
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety standards and company policies
• Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance inventory
• Assist in keeping the property clean, attractive, and well-maintained
• Work collaboratively with property management and maintenance team members
• Provide exceptional customer service to residents and staff

Qualifications

• Previous apartment maintenance, building maintenance, or related experience preferred
• Working knowledge of:
  • Basic plumbing
  • Electrical systems
  • HVAC maintenance and repairs
  • Appliance troubleshooting
  • General carpentry and painting
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks throughout the day
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull maintenance equipment and materials as needed
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
