BG Staffing is seeking a dependable and hardworking Make Ready Technician for a busy apartment community in Austin, TX. This hands-on role is ideal for an experienced maintenance professional who takes pride in preparing apartment homes for new residents and helping maintain the overall appearance and functionality of the community.

Position Overview

As a Make Ready Technician, you will be responsible for preparing vacant apartment homes for move-in by completing repairs, installations, touch-ups, and general maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate has experience in apartment maintenance, is comfortable using a variety of tools, and can work effectively in a fast-paced property management environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete apartment make-ready turns in preparation for new resident move-ins
• Perform general maintenance repairs, including basic electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work
• Repair or replace fixtures, hardware, and other apartment components as needed
• Troubleshoot and perform minor appliance repairs
• Complete painting, touch-ups, and other unit preparation tasks
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas
• Follow all community safety policies and procedures
• Communicate effectively with onsite management regarding work progress and completed tasks
• Assist with additional maintenance projects as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Make Ready Technician, Maintenance Technician, or Apartment Maintenance professional required
• Working knowledge of:
  • Basic electrical repairs
  • Basic plumbing repairs
  • Carpentry and hardware installation
  • Appliance troubleshooting and repair
• Must provide and maintain personal hand tools
• Ability to safely operate hand and power tools
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
• Must be able to lift, carry, bend, climb, and perform other physical job duties as required
