Floating Apartment Maintenance Technician

BG Staffing is currently seeking an experienced and dependable Floating Apartment Maintenance Technician to support multiple apartment communities throughout the Cincinnati area. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled maintenance professional who enjoys variety in their workday and thrives in a fast-paced property management environment.
In this role, you will provide maintenance support across seven apartment communities, assisting with service requests, repairs, preventative maintenance, and apartment turns. We are looking for a self-motivated individual who can work independently, adapt quickly to different properties, and consistently deliver quality workmanship.
Position Overview
As a Floating Maintenance Technician, you will travel between assigned apartment communities to help maintain the overall appearance, functionality, and safety of each property. The ideal candidate will have previous apartment maintenance experience and a strong understanding of general maintenance practices, including troubleshooting and repairs.
This position is perfect for a technician who enjoys a dynamic work environment and takes pride in helping apartment communities operate smoothly while providing excellent service to residents.
Primary Responsibilities
- Complete maintenance work orders in a timely and professional manner
- Perform apartment make-readies and unit turns
- Troubleshoot and repair common maintenance issues
- Support preventative maintenance programs across multiple properties
- Complete general repairs, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance-related tasks
- Assist with HVAC-related maintenance as needed
- Ensure vacant units are move-in ready and meet community standards
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
- Communicate effectively with property management teams at each location
- Travel between seven assigned apartment communities to provide maintenance support
Qualifications
- Previous apartment maintenance experience required
- Strong knowledge of general maintenance and repair techniques
- Experience with plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliance repair, and HVAC maintenance preferred
- Ability to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues efficiently
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Reliable and professional demeanor
Requirements
- Must have prior maintenance experience
- Must provide and use your own maintenance tools
- Must report to work dressed appropriately and ready to work
- Reliable transportation required to travel between properties
- Ability to lift, carry, climb, and perform physical maintenance duties as needed
Schedule & Compensation
Pay: $22.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
