Assistant Maintenance Technician

BG Staffing is currently seeking a skilled and dependable Assistant Maintenance Technician to join a thriving apartment community in Laurel, MD 20708. If you have hands-on apartment maintenance experience, enjoy troubleshooting and repairs, and take pride in providing exceptional service, we want to hear from you!

This is an excellent opportunity for a maintenance professional looking to grow their career while working in a fast-paced multifamily housing environment. You will play a key role in maintaining the property, responding to work orders, and preparing apartment homes for new residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete assigned service requests and work orders efficiently and professionally
• Perform general maintenance tasks throughout the community
• Conduct basic plumbing repairs and troubleshooting
• Assist with electrical troubleshooting and repairs
• Diagnose and repair household appliances
• Complete carpentry work, drywall repairs, painting, and general upkeep
• Assist with apartment turns and make-ready preparations
• Help maintain the overall appearance, safety, and functionality of the property
• Provide excellent customer service to residents and team members

Qualifications

• Previous apartment maintenance experience required
• Strong knowledge of general maintenance functions and repair practices
• Experience with plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, drywall, and carpentry
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
• Must provide and maintain your own tools

• Monday through Friday
• 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
• $24.00 per hour
