Lead Maintenance Technician

Location: North Charleston, SC

Salary: $45,000 – $55,000

Are you an experienced Maintenance Technician ready to step into a leadership role? We are seeking a hands-on Lead Maintenance Technician to oversee maintenance operations at a multifamily community in North Charleston, SC.

This is a great opportunity for a motivated maintenance professional who takes pride in property appearance, resident satisfaction, and leading by example.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and support the onsite maintenance team in daily operations
• Complete service requests, work orders, and preventative maintenance in a timely manner
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance, and general maintenance issues
• Oversee unit turns and make-readies to ensure apartments are move-in ready
• Conduct property inspections and maintain curb appeal standards
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors as needed
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company policies
• Assist with emergency maintenance and rotating on-call responsibilities
• Maintain inventory, tools, and maintenance supplies

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of multifamily maintenance experience required
• Previous lead or supervisory experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, and general maintenance
• EPA and/or HVAC certifications preferred.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license required
• Ability to participate in an on-call rotation
