Position Overview

As an Apartment Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance operations of a multifamily property. You will play a critical role in ensuring apartments and common areas are well-maintained, safe, and move‑in ready. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently while collaborating with onsite property management.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on apartments and community amenities
• Troubleshoot and complete work orders in a timely and professional manner
• Prepare vacant units for new move-ins, including basic repairs and inspections
• Perform maintenance tasks such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and appliance repair
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of common areas, mechanical rooms, and grounds
• Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies as needed
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies
• Communicate effectively with residents, team members, and property management

Qualifications

• Previous apartment or multifamily maintenance experience preferred
• Strong working knowledge of general maintenance trades (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc.)
• Ability to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues efficiently
• Dependable, professional, and customer-service oriented
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Must have own basic tools
• EPA certification a plus (not required)
