Position Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Commercial Accounting & Utility Billing Specialist to support the day-to-day operations of a fast-paced commercial real estate investment office. This role offers hands-on exposure to all aspects of commercial real estate, including ownership, development, financing, and property management.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with the Senior Asset Manager and Director of Operations on daily initiatives
• Perform data entry and maintain records using property management software
• Manage utility billing processes (electric, water, sewer reimbursements)
• Handle accounts payable and receivable, including vendor invoice processing
• Support bookkeeping activities and maintain accurate financial records
• Assist in transitioning from paper-based to automated systems
• Coordinate office operations including purchasing, mailings, and parking logistics
• Assist with acquisitions, dispositions, and financing transactions
• Maintain relationships with vendors, tenants, and third-party partners
• Track compliance deadlines, filings, and internal documentation
• Support scheduling, reporting, travel coordination, and team events

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in commercial real estate administration or property management
• Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Experience with property management/accounting software preferred
• Notary Public license is a plus (or willingness to obtain; company reimbursed)
• Ability to manage both administrative and light accounting responsibilities
