Recertification Specialist

Carol Stream, IL 60188 | Contract | $21/hr | M–F 9am–6pm

Step into a key role supporting affordable‑housing residents and ensuring compliance accuracy. As a Recertification Specialist with BGSF, you’ll handle essential HUD recerts, interact with residents, and help keep the community running smoothly.

Job Description

• To manage annual and interim recertifications for affordable housing/HUD programs
• To verify income, assets, and household documentation
• To review and update resident files for compliance accuracy
• To communicate with residents regarding required documents and deadlines
• To support the Property Manager with compliance and administrative tasks

Required Skills

• Experience in affordable housing/HUD programs
• Knowledge of recertification processes & compliance requirements
• Strong accuracy in reviewing income/asset documentation
• Excellent communication and resident‑service skills
• Ability to manage deadlines and maintain organized files

Preferred Skills

• Experience with compliance or property management software
• LIHTC experience
