Project Manager
Overview
A growing organization in Nashville, TN is seeking an intermediate level Project Manager to lead end-to-end project delivery. This individual will create full project plans, build detailed work breakdown structures (WBS), manage cross-functional teams, and ensure adherence to PMO standards. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong communication skills and experience using ServiceNow or similar project portfolio management tools.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop complete project plans including scope, objectives, governance, timelines, and deliverables.
· Build and manage work breakdown structures (WBS) from project initiation through closure.
· Utilize established PMO methodologies, standards, and templates for all assigned projects.
· Coordinate planning activities including labor estimates, cost estimates, schedules, dependencies, and milestones.
· Track and manage project risks, issues, and mitigation plans, escalating when appropriate.
· Monitor project performance to ensure adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.
· Communicate status updates, progress, and risks to project teams and stakeholders at all levels.
· Collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and third-party vendors.
· Provide high-quality customer service and foster strong, trusted relationships across the organization.
· Adapt project management style to match team dynamics, project complexity, and shifting priorities.
· Contribute to continuous improvement of PMO processes and tools.
Qualifications
· 2+ years of project management experience, preferably in an IT or technology environment.
· Hands-on experience developing detailed project schedules with WBS and task dependencies.
· Familiarity with ServiceNow SPM (Strategic Portfolio Management) or similar project management/PPM platforms.
· Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook).
· Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional team members such as Business Analysts and QA Analysts.
· Strong interpersonal, communication, conflict-resolution, and negotiation skills.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced or highly variable project environment.
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, Computer Science, or related field preferred but not required.
· Proven capability to work independently, solve problems proactively, and drive initiatives forward.
