Assistant Maintenance Technician – Property Management

Schedule: Monday–Friday

Pay: $18-$19 per hour

Location: Baton Rouge, LA 70805

We’re looking for a dependable, hands‑on Assistant Maintenance Technician to support daily maintenance operations and help keep our community running smoothly. If you enjoy problem‑solving, working with your hands, and providing great service to residents, this role is a strong fit.

What You’ll Do

• Assist with completing work orders, repairs, and preventative maintenance
• Support HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance troubleshooting
• Help with unit turns, including painting, cleaning, and minor repairs
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and equipment rooms
• Respond to resident maintenance requests with professionalism
• Assist with emergency/on‑call maintenance as needed
• Ensure tools, equipment, and maintenance areas are organized and safe

What You Bring

• Previous maintenance or handyman experience preferred
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the day
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Reliable, self‑motivated, and able to work independently
• Valid driver’s license
