Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Associate

The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Associate is responsible for providing senior executives and Board members with the analysis and insights needed to support major operational, financial, and strategic decisions. This role offers exposure to the CFO and other members of the executive team, as well as senior leaders across Operations, Finance, Treasury, Tax, and Accounting. The position reports to the Senior Vice President of Finance.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead the annual budget and forecasting processes
  • Incorporate asset-level cash flow forecasts from various operations teams into broader financial models
  • Update financial models with actual performance data and corporate inputs (e.g., commodity and interest rate hedging, G&A, capital structure)
  • Analyze key variables within financial models to assess impacts on corporate cash flow and financial metrics such as leverage and liquidity
  • Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting materials to senior management and the Board of Directors
  • Focus on variance analysis, updated forecasts, and performance insights compared to internal objectives
  • Prepare reporting materials for bond investors, credit facility lenders, and other key stakeholders
  • Partner with Treasury to ensure alignment between financial models and short-term cash forecasts
  • Support the CFO and SVP Finance with capital planning and other long-term strategic initiatives
  • Conduct quarterly peer analysis, including public company earnings reviews and benchmarking for executive and Board presentations
  • Manage investor and audit-related data requests across Finance, Treasury, and Accounting to ensure timely, coordinated responses

Qualifications:

Education & Work Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, accounting, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
  • Minimum of 4–5 years of relevant experience, with at least two years directly in FP&A preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Experience with SQL is preferred

Technical Skills & Knowledge:

  • Strong financial and quantitative skills, with the ability to clearly present findings to senior executives
  • Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across various levels and functions
