Seeking an Experienced Commercial Building Engineer in the Frisco area. Contract to hire position paying $25.00 an hour.


·      Operate and/or ensure proper performance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, elevator, security, fire alarms and emergency generator systems, which may include, but is not limited to, inspections, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs.

·      Must be able to climb, balance on and work from a six feet “A” frame ladder for periods up to 30 minutes. Also have the ability to safely reach with both arms above head to perform repairs.  

·      Plumbing work may require kneeling, squatting or standing for periods up to one hour. Also, at times it is required to lay on back for under sink repairs. Required to perform repairs in limited space. For example, above ceiling or bathroom stall.

·      Electrical work may require kneeling, squatting or standing for periods up to one hour. Working from ladder to change lamps or perform other work is required for a possible period of thirty minutes at a time.

·      General work requirements consist of painting, cleaning, organizing vacant space, shop area and all common areas within a property. Walking from property to property may be required and may require a distance of up to 0.25 miles. Walking stairwells is required to ensure cleanliness and lighting.

·      Roof access may be limited to ladder only and roof hatch. Must be able to safely climb the ladder, hold securely as the roof hatch is unlocked. May need to climb ladder while carrying a tool bag for repair. Bag could weigh up to 25 pounds. Once on roof, it may be required to crawl over or under equipment piping and ductwork.  

·      Oversee all contractors and subcontractors working in the building: Ensure specific performance, verify billed time and parts on job and ensure receipt of contractors’ reports for warranty backup.

·      Maintain records and reports of all contractor-accomplished work. This information should be easily accessible to entire management staff. 

·      Conduct scheduled inspections of buildings, including restrooms and equipment rooms.  

·      Monitor operations of all HVAC equipment.

2 plus years of commercial building engineer/building maintenance experience
