Accounting Analyst II

We are partnering with a leading company in the renewable energy and environmental services sector to find an Accounting Analyst II to join their finance team. About the Role

The Accounting Analyst II will provide financial and accounting support across multiple business units, working closely with various finance teams, including corporate finance, internal audit, and treasury. The role is responsible for executing financial tasks, month-end close activities, account reconciliations, and financial analysis to support decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform month-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Analyze general ledger accounts for accuracy and prepare financial reports.
• Conduct financial analysis, identify trends, and provide meaningful insights.
• Assist in evaluating and documenting accounting implications for transactions.
• Participate in financial review meetings and support internal controls processes.
• Provide guidance on financial procedures and best practices.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of relevant accounting or financial experience.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley, and SEC regulations.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and time management skills.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and based in the Houston area.

Preferred:

• Public accounting (Big 4 or mid-tier) experience combined with industry exposure.
• Experience in a large, multi-entity corporate environment.

Additional Details

• Location: Houston, TX
• Compensation: $85,000 - $90,000 base salary + bonus eligibility.
