Job Summary

The Senior JIB Accountant will be responsible for the company’s monthly Joint Interest Billing activity and coordination of joint ventures in accordance to Joint Operating and Production Sharing Agreements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.

• Be responsible for executing the Joint Interest Billing cycle
• Prepare monthly joint Interest billings and cash calls
• Prepare manual overhead entries
• Work closely with Business unit managers to ensure consistency in reporting
• Update and maintain property and cost allocations
• Develop all necessary knowledge of all joint operating and production sharing agreements
• Ensure compliance with legislation and requirements of the authorities
• Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, internal policies, and external joint operating and production sharing agreements
• Coordinate partner audits of operated joint ventures
• Participate as needed in audits of non-operated joint ventures
• Ensure JIB receivables are reconciled and collected on a timely basis
