Leasing Manager – Class A Multifamily Community

Location: Columbus, OH

Base Pay: $45.8K–$56.2K 

Estimated Total Compensation: $66,000–$78,000 annually

We are seeking a driven, hands-on Leasing Manager to lead leasing performance at a Class A multifamily community in Columbus, OH.

This opportunity is ideal for a strong sales leader who enjoys generating traffic, improving prospect follow-up, closing leases, developing employees, and creating an exceptional experience for residents and prospects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop the onsite leasing team.
• Support hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, and performance management.
• Drive leasing activity and occupancy through consistent outreach, follow-up, and closing.
• Manage the leasing pipeline from initial inquiry through tour, application, approval, and move-in.
• Deliver engaging property tours and confidently respond to prospect questions and objections.
• Develop and execute lease-renewal and resident-retention strategies.
• Serve as a visible onsite leader and primary contact for resident communications.
• Maintain exceptional customer service throughout every prospect and resident interaction.
• Partner with the Community Manager on marketing strategy, pricing feedback, outreach, and traffic generation.
• Monitor leasing activity, market conditions, conversion performance, and overall leasing goals.
• Ensure leasing documentation and property-management systems remain accurate and current.

Qualifications

• At least one year of multifamily property management experience.
• At least one year of experience supervising, coaching, or managing employees.
• Current or previous experience in a leasing-focused position.
• Proven sales ability with confidence managing tours, follow-up, objections, and closing.
• Lease-up experience strongly preferred.
• Class A multifamily experience strongly preferred.
• Experience hiring, training, and holding employees accountable for performance.
• Bachelor’s degree or comparable professional experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and property management software.
• Yardi experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, leadership, and customer-service skills.
• Steady employment history and a genuine desire to grow within property management.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends.
