Now Hiring: Lead Maintenance Technician – Overland Park, KS 66212

Pay: $27–$29/hr

Schedule: Monday- Friday 8am-5pm with one hour lunch

BG Staffing is seeking a skilled and dependable Lead Maintenance Maintenance Technician to support an apartment community in Overland Park, KS 66212. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical expertise who takes pride in delivering high‑quality maintenance work and excellent service to residents.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily maintenance operations and provide direction to onsite maintenance staff
• Assign, prioritize, and complete work orders and preventative maintenance
• Perform and oversee skilled maintenance repairs, including:
  • HVAC troubleshooting and repair
  • Electrical repairs
  • Plumbing repairs
  • Appliance diagnostics and repair
  • Carpentry and general maintenance
• Assist with and oversee apartment unit turns and make-ready preparation
• Ensure unit turns are completed efficiently and meet quality standards
• Maintain community grounds, common areas, amenities, and building systems
• Respond to resident maintenance requests in a professional and customer-focused manner
• Monitor maintenance work to ensure safety, compliance, and quality standards are met
• Help coordinate daily maintenance priorities and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks

Requirements

• Previous apartment maintenance leadership experience
• Experience overseeing or directing onsite maintenance staff
• Strong knowledge of general maintenance trades
• Hands-on experience with plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliances, and HVAC
• EPA Type II or Universal Certification required
• Ability to assign and manage work orders and preventative maintenance
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to oversee unit turns and make-ready processes
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Own tools required
