HVAC Maintenance Technician - Apartment Community (303 Units)

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Maintenance Technician to join the maintenance team at a well-established 303-unit apartment community. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a skilled maintenance professional to demonstrate their abilities and potentially transition into a permanent role.

Candidates with strong apartment maintenance experience but without HVAC certification may also be considered for a temporary assignment; however, those positions would not be eligible for contract-to-hire placement.

Essential Responsibilities

• Complete resident service requests and maintenance work orders in a timely manner
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems
• Perform electrical repairs and preventative maintenance
• Conduct plumbing repairs and installations
• Diagnose and repair household appliances
• Complete carpentry work and general property maintenance
• Assist with apartment turns and make-ready preparations
• Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company standards
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Qualifications

Required for Contract-to-Hire Consideration

• EPA Certification and/or HVAC Certification
• Previous apartment maintenance experience
• Strong knowledge of residential maintenance systems
• Experience troubleshooting HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance issues
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
• Must provide own tools
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with multi-family housing communities
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs
• Strong customer service and communication skills
