Building Engineer-PT

Location: Sandy, UT-This is a roving position supporting five locations within approximately a 20-mile radius north and south of Sandy. Candidates must be flexible with travel between sites.

Pay: $32–$35/hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Part-time 30-35 hours hour work week-flexible with days and times.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and corrective repairs on commercial buildings, building systems, and equipment.
• Monitor and inspect HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire alarm, and other building systems to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Troubleshoot and repair building systems, including plumbing, HVAC, lighting, roofs, drains, and other facility components.
• Complete work orders, maintenance logs, and repair documentation accurately.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency situations.
• Support energy management initiatives to maximize system efficiency and minimize operating costs.
• Maintain building lighting systems, including ballast and fixture replacements.
• Coordinate and oversee outside contractors and vendors when necessary.
• Assist the Chief Engineer or Director of Engineering in maintaining a safe, well-maintained property.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of commercial building maintenance experience.
• Strong working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building automation systems.
• Experience with preventative maintenance programs and troubleshooting building equipment.
• Relevant trade licenses or certifications are a plus (EPA Universal Certification, Refrigeration Certification, Journeyman/Master Electrician, Boiler License, etc.).
