Short-Term Assignment (Approximately One Week or More)

BG Staffing is seeking a reliable, self-motivated CPO-certified professional to assist with pool preparation, operations, and property support for a residential community in Westerville, Ohio. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with pool maintenance experience who enjoys working independently, takes pride in delivering quality work, and is looking for a flexible short-term assignment with the potential for additional hours and responsibilities.

We are searching for a candidate whose primary strength is pool operations and water quality management. Beyond pool-related duties, there may be opportunities to assist with additional property tasks and maintenance projects. Position Overview

The community pool has been drained and partially power washed and requires a knowledgeable individual to help prepare it for the season. The selected candidate will play a critical role in completing pool setup, ensuring water quality compliance, organizing the pool area, and helping create a safe and welcoming environment for residents.

This position is ideal for a Certified Pool Operator (CPO) who can work independently, manage priorities effectively, and take ownership of the project from preparation through operational readiness.

Key Responsibilities

Pool Preparation & Operations

• Complete remaining power washing and cleaning of the pool area
• Assist with pool filling and startup procedures
• Test, monitor, and balance pool water chemistry
• Ensure pool equipment is functioning properly
• Verify compliance with safety and operational standards
• Inspect and organize pool facilities prior to opening
• Monitor water quality and maintain appropriate chemical levels
• Perform routine pool maintenance and daily operational tasks

Facility & Amenity Support

• Arrange and organize pool furniture and common area equipment
• Clean and prepare pool restrooms and surrounding facilities
• Ensure safety signage and safety equipment are present and operational
• Assist with general upkeep of pool decks and recreational areas
• Support additional property needs and community projects as assigned

Additional Property Support

For candidates interested in additional hours, there may be opportunities to assist with:

• Porter duties
• Common area cleaning
• Grounds maintenance
• General property upkeep
• Light maintenance projects
• Community appearance and curb appeal initiatives

Qualifications

Required

• Current CPO (Certified Pool Operator) certification
• Experience with pool maintenance, startup procedures, and water chemistry
• Knowledge of pool safety regulations and operational standards
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
• Ability to communicate professionally with staff and management

Preferred

• Experience working in apartment communities, HOAs, recreational facilities, or aquatic centers
• Power washing experience
• Porter, groundskeeping, or maintenance experience
• Knowledge of pool equipment troubleshooting and preventative maintenance

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and work outdoors for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Comfortable working around water, pool equipment, and cleaning chemicals
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions

Schedule & Flexibility

Preferred Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
