Make Ready/ Porter Technician- Student Housing – Denton, TX 76201

Pay - $18/hour

Job Description

• Complete unit turns and make‑ready tasks

• Perform basic electrical, plumbing, and carpentry repairs

• Install hardware and troubleshoot appliances

• Contract

Key Responsibilities

·        Prepare units for move‑ins through cleaning, repairs, and touch‑ups

·        Maintain cleanliness of community grounds, breezeways, and common areas

·        Prepare vacant units by removing trash and assisting with light cleaning

·        Perform light electrical, plumbing, and carpentry tasks

·        Replace fixtures, hardware, and basic components

·        Maintain safe work practices and proper tool use

·        Communicate progress with onsite staff

Required Qualifications

·        Experience as a Make Ready or Maintenance Technician

·        General maintenance skills including:

•  Basic electrical
•   Basic plumbing
•   Carpentry/hardware installation
• Appliance troubleshooting

·        Must have own tools

·        Ability to use hand and power tools

·        Ability to perform physical labor

·        Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean environment

·        Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently

·        Positive attitude and willingness to support the onsite team
