Position: Assistant Property Manager

Location: The Woodlands, Tx 77381

Salary: $57,000 - $68,000/year

 

Job Description – Assistant Property Manager manages the building operations and property management team members ensuring the fiscal and operational success of the building. With excellent analytical skills, the primary responsibility of the Assistant Property Manager will be the financial management and reporting for the property working closely with the accounting team and building ownership. With excellent customer service skills, the Assistant Property Manager will work with tenants and building team members to support the property retention goals. Strong teamwork and accountability are key attributes of the successful Assistant Property Manager. Additional responsibilities for the Assistant Property Manager include the following:

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership through the development and interpretation of growth and development strategies, policies, and programs.
  • Ensure compliance with Assistant Property Management policies and procedures, codes, regulations, and governmental agency directives.
  • Developing both operating and capital budgets.
  • Manage and coordinate all capital improvements to ensure timely and proper completion of all work within budget.
  • Responsible for all lease administration, collections and default proceedings and maintaining all property leases in lease administration software.
  • Management of property management staff including hiring and performance management.
  • Liaison with owners and accounting team to ensure contract compliance, including preparation of accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Develop comprehensive annual inspection processes for properties; completing weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual inspections as required to meet best practices.

Requirements

  • 5 years of previous commercial real estate office management experience with increasing responsibilities – ideally with Class A properties.
  • Texas Real Estate License and RPA or CPM designations.
  • CM Preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of finance and building operations.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, Yardi, MRI, Timberline, Building Engines, and other commercial real estate software programs.
  • Professional and exceptional leadership, problem solving, and analytical skills.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree is required
