Position Summary
The Director of Resident Services is a senior leadership role responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing the resident services strategy across the organization’s entire Houston portfolio. This person will build and manage programming, develop community partnerships, coordinate resident referrals and crisis support, and establish the systems and reporting infrastructure necessary to deliver measurable resident outcomes.
The Director works closely with property management teams, ownership, and external service providers to ensure that residents across all communities have consistent access to high-quality supportive services.
This is not a site-level coordinator role. We are looking for a strategic, organized, mission-driven professional who can operate independently, build from the ground up where necessary, and serve as the primary face of resident services for the organization.

Reporting and Compliance
- Track program participation, outcomes, referrals, and partnership activity using organized, professional systems.
- Prepare regular reports for internal leadership and, as needed, for external stakeholders, funders, or compliance purposes.
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with organizational policies and any applicable regulatory requirements.

- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for regular travel between Houston-area properties.
- Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends for resident programming or events.

The Director will split time between on-site community presence, an office or administrative workspace, and external partner meetings. A standard work schedule is expected, with flexibility for occasional evening or weekend programming. Mileage reimbursement is provided for work-related travel between properties.
Reporting Relationships
The Director of Resident Services reports directly to senior leadership. The role works in close coordination with property management staff and ownership representatives across the portfolio.
Why This Role Matters
Housing is more than a roof. For many residents, affordable housing is the foundation that makes everything else possible—access to healthcare, educational opportunity, financial stability, and community connection. The Director of Resident Services is the person who makes those connections real.
This is a role for someone who wants to build something meaningful, who brings both compassion and operational discipline, and who measures success by the tangible difference made in residents’ lives.
