Apartment Maintenance Technician / Assistant Maintenance (Non‑Certified) – Contract to Hire

Location: Van Nuys, CA 91405

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Pay: $24/hr

Position Type: Contract to Hire

Job Description

• Complete work orders in a timely and professional manner
• Assist with make‑ready apartments including painting, cleaning, and minor repairs
• Perform basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general maintenance tasks
• Maintain common areas and grounds to community standards
• Identify and report maintenance issues to the supervisor
• Deliver excellent customer service while adhering to Fair Housing guidelines

Qualifications

• Must be local to the San Fernado Valley
• Apartment or multifamily maintenance experience required
• EPA Type II or Universal and CPO a plus, but not required
• Non‑certified maintenance experience acceptable
• Knowledge of general maintenance and repair techniques
• Ability to follow safety procedures and maintenance protocols
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Must provide own tools
