Certified Maintenance Technician / Make Ready / Porter (EPA Certified)

Schedule: Full-Time

Pay rate: $22

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled, EPA-certified Maintenance Technician who is comfortable wearing multiple hats and supporting all areas of property operations. This role is ideal for a Jack-of-all-trades who enjoys variety, teamwork, and stepping in wherever needed.

With the make-ready position recently eliminated, this technician must be willing to handle HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliance repair, work orders, make-ready tasks, and porter duties as part of daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

• HVAC Maintenance & Repair
  • Diagnose and repair HVAC issues (EPA certification required)
  • Perform seasonal HVAC checks and preventative maintenance
• General Maintenance
  • Complete resident work orders efficiently and professionally
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, and appliance issues
  • Perform emergency maintenance as needed
• Make Ready Duties
  • Prepare vacant units for new residents
  • Paint, patch, replace fixtures, install appliances, and ensure units meet quality standards
  • Conduct final walk-throughs to ensure readiness
• Porter & Groundskeeping Duties
  • Maintain cleanliness of common areas, breezeways, amenities, and grounds
  • Assist with trash pickup, curb appeal, and community cleanliness
  • Support team with special projects and seasonal tasks

Qualifications

• EPA Certification required (Type I & II or Universal)
• 2+ years of experience in apartment maintenance or similar field
• Strong skills in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repairs
• Ability to perform physical tasks, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in various weather conditions
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Strong customer service mindset and team-oriented attitude
• Willingness to perform porter and make-ready duties as part of daily responsibilities
