Position: Corporate Property Accountant

Hours: 9am-5pm

Contract to Hire

Key Responsibilities

Manage full property-level accounting for commercial assets including office, industrial, and retail properties

Prepare monthly financial statements, variance reports, and supporting schedules

Perform bank reconciliations, general ledger reviews, and journal entries

Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable, including tenant billing and cash applications

Manage CAM reconciliations, operating expense pools, and gross-ups

Track and reconcile security deposits and tenant improvement allowances

Assist with annual budgets, reforecasts, and operating expense analysis

Support ownership reporting, capital tracking, and draw documentation

Coordinate with property management and construction teams to ensure accurate cost allocation

Assist with audit requests and tax documentation as needed

Ensure compliance with lease terms, lender requirements, and internal controls

Required Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of commercial property accounting experience, preferably office, industrial, or retail

Direct experience with Yardi Voyager preferred

Experience with Yardi and MRI software is beneficial

Experience with system implementation or property onboarding into accounting platforms is a plus

Strong understanding of CAM and NNN reconciliations, base year reconciliations, expense pools, recoverability structures, accrual versus cash reporting, and multi-entity accounting

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Experience preparing ownership or investor reporting packages

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working within a commercial brokerage and property management platform

Familiarity with construction accounting and tenant improvement tracking

Experience working with institutional or private equity ownership groups

CPA or CPA-track preferred but not required

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
