Regional Maintenance Supervisor

Buffalo, NY (Regional Role — Portfolio Includes Properties in Syracuse, NY)

Position Overview:

Seeking a skilled and experienced Regional Maintenance Supervisor to support and lead maintenance operations across a portfolio of approximately 10 market-rate properties totaling 1,500 units. This role combines technical oversight with staff development, vendor management, and operational leadership to ensure excellence in property maintenance.

The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with building systems — including boiler systems — and the ability to work collaboratively with on-site teams and leadership.

Salary & Pay Transparency

• Salary Range: $75,000 to $85,000 annually
  • Final pay within this range will be based on the candidate’s experience and qualifications in accordance with New York State pay transparency requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide regional leadership and support for maintenance operations across assigned properties
• Conduct routine property inspections to ensure safety, quality, and compliance with standards
• Manage preventive maintenance, with specific focus on boiler systems and building systems
• Oversee vendor and contractor selection, performance, and contracts
• Support planning and execution of capital expenditure (CapEx) projects
• Review maintenance documentation and operational logs
• Utilize property management and maintenance systems to track work orders and performance
• Coach, mentor, and develop on-site maintenance teams
• Communicate regularly with property leadership and internal operations teams
• Respond to maintenance emergencies and assist as needed

Qualifications

• Experience in a multi-site or regional maintenance leadership role
• Demonstrated experience with boiler systems and mechanical systems
• Knowledge of maintenance best practices in market-rate residential properties
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to train and mentor maintenance staff
• Professional and collaborative approach to working with teams and vendors
• Comfortable with regional travel as required
