The Leasing Specialist manages and leads in-person tours for prospective residents, driving lease conversions and maintaining strong occupancy. This role focuses on showcasing the community, improving occupancy rates, and preventing stale units through strategic marketing and local market analysis. In addition, the Leasing Specialist helps ensure a seamless move-in process for new residents and supports the community’s overall appearance and resident satisfaction.


What You’ll Do

  • Conduct in-person tours with prospective residents and ensure all appointments are accurately tracked and scheduled.
  • Build rapport with prospective and current residents through clear, professional, and timely communication.
  • Address resident inquiries and concerns effectively while ensuring a smooth transition from inquiry to move-in.
  • Utilize property management software and digital marketing tools to manage leads, track occupancy, and maintain accurate records.
  • Support community engagement by planning and assisting with resident events and outreach programs.
  • Communicate and resolve resident issues promptly and professionally to support high satisfaction and retention.

What You Need to Succeed

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2+ years of customer service experience preferred.
  • 1+ year of sales or leasing experience preferred.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and digital communication skills.
  • Proficiency in technology including computer software, iPad use, and CRM/property management systems.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background screening prior to employment.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Completion of the Wonderlic pre-employment assessment (sent via email) required if minimum qualifications are met.
