INSPYR Solutions is partnered with a growing utility services provider in Sugar Land that is seeking a Staff Accountant to support their accounting operations. This role is responsible for applying accounting principles and company policies to ensure accurate financial records and strong internal controls. You'll play a key part in financial reporting, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
• Support monthly and year-end closing activities
• Monitor and review costs to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
• Assist with financial analysis and reporting
• Reconcile daily cash transactions and banking files
• Track project-related expenses and ensure proper classification
• Help with regulatory filings and other financial documentation
• Collaborate with team members and report concerns to leadership as needed
• Take on other accounting tasks as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 3–5 years of accounting experience
• Working knowledge of GAAP
• Familiarity with financial statements and general ledger systems
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other common office software
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
