About the Role

We’re seeking a hands-on Facilities Operations Manager to lead building operations and maintenance across a multi-building residential community. You’ll oversee maintenance staff and vendor partners, drive preventative maintenance programs, ensure safety/OSHA compliance, and deliver responsive, courteous service to residents and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise, schedule, and develop maintenance/grounds staff
• Own preventive maintenance and track work orders to completion
• Conduct property inspections; create action plans and follow-up
• Manage vendors, scopes, bids, and quality
• Maintain inventory and make budget-conscious purchases
• Coordinate on-call rotation and respond to emergencies
• Keep accurate records; run safety meetings and ensure compliance

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; two years of related college coursework
• Licensed in a trade (plumbing, electrical, or HVAC) preferred
• 5+ years of maintenance operations & management experience
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry
• Proven leadership: supervise, teach, and motivate a facilities team
• Strong communication and documentation skills; professional resident service
• Available for 24-hour on-call response on a rotating basis
• Familiarity with OSHA standards and safe work practices
