Night Supervisor / Building Services Supervisor

Looking for a night supervisor to work 2:00-10:30 and supervise a team of 10-15 people. The salary pay is $45,000/year with benefits.

Position Summary

The Building Services Supervisor contributes to an excellent patron and employee experience by ensuring the overall cleanliness and appearance of the facilities through various janitorial tasks and duties. This position requires constant observance and use of safety policies and procedures in the execution of job duties and supervises other housekeeping staff.

Position Responsibilities

· Helps supervise housekeeping staff during regular hours and assists in training personnel in proper methods and procedures.

·        Serves as the Building Services authority in absence of the Building Services Manager.

·        Performs daily housekeeping duties to maintain cleanliness and appearance of campus, including but not limited to Concert Hall, Gunter Theater, Administrative offices, Huguenot Loft Space, Mill Lobby, restrooms, conference rooms, and break area.

·        Performs all duties of a housekeeping staff member when necessary.

·        Helps maintain inventory of equipment, materials, and supplies.

·        Oversees use of storage areas

·        May perform maintenance jobs not requiring a skilled tradesperson.

·        Communicates regularly with the Building Services Manager on building repairs and conditions.

·        Utilizes cleaning materials such as broom, vacuums, squeegees, mops, blowers, chemicals, spray bottles, moving furniture

·        Operates power equipment such as vacuums (back-pack and upright), power sweepers, carpet and upholstery cleaners, scrubbers and buffers, pressure washers, trash compactor, dolly and hand truck as needed to perform job duties.

·        Demonstrate superior customer service skills to enhance the experience of donors, patrons, and all members of the public.

·        Observe all company safety and security policies to ensure the safety of self, patrons, and coworkers.

·        Other duties as assigned.

Requirements and Qualifications

· High school diploma

·        Working knowledge of housekeeping and janitorial procedures and ability to operate the related equipment.

·        Knowledge of janitorial products and application procedures to ensure safety.

·        Ability to work with members of the public, volunteers, outside production crews and casts.

·        Self-motivated and able to stay busy without constant supervision.

·        Consistent and accurate work.

·        Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays as assigned.

·        Previous experience in a supervisory role preferred.
